WHAT IS LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY?

My take on lifestyle photography is a mix of authentic and staged. What I am shooting could actually happen in real life , however I would never have captured such a variety of images in such a short amount of time if I had not interfered. During a session, I create a diversity of opportunities that will generate real-life type of images which might not have spontaneously happened at that specific moment if I hadn’t been there to jump-start them.


WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

This is a very good question! I love the look of a mix colors and texture. I usually build off of the pickiest person in my family ! I do feel like if you are paying me to take professional photos that you will try and make your Nike wearing husband dress up just a bit! I have a pinterest page with outfit ideas I like to give my clients to help them with colors and fun ideas. 


DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?
 
Yes I do edit my photos. I believe in giving you the best up front. You should already know a little bit about my style of shooting by looking at my website. Have you ever seen that photo of Beyonce going around on the internet? One with her face beautiful and one next to it when she is dancing and sweaty and the most unflattering look on her face, that is why I don't give you photos every time I click the shutter. We move a lot so there will be a few that don't make the cut! 

IS STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY AVAILABLE?

Yes I have a beautiful studio in downtown Mora MN. I also have a lot of photography friends in the Metro area of Minneapolis that I rent from time to time for different looks.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

I work really hard to get you the photos in 1 to 2 days. It is something that I strive for ! I hate to wait for anything and therefor I don't like making you wait! If it will be longer I will talk to you personally so you can have a deadline. Weddings is a little longer depending on your package and how many photos I have to edit. 2 weeks tops! 

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

Rescheduling happens! Life happens. I do require a deposit to hold your spot in my calendar. I feel that if you put your hard earned money down you are more likely to keep your appointment because you put value on what I am offering. 

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

If you need to cancel we will discuss your options. We can always reschedule. 

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

Each package I offer has a certain amount listed. I will always give you the option to purchase more at a discounted price! 

WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT I PRINT THROUGH YOU?

I offer printing services through professional companies for photographers. However you do not need to order through me. Just be aware that certain retail stores do not have as professional of quality or colors when printed. 

WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE THE SHOOT?

This depends on the type of shoot you are wanting. I never shoot outdoors other than golden hour or right before. The lighting straight above you is less flattering and often times washes you out. If we are doing studio time , day time or evening is fine, I have you take in consideration of nap times and hungry times! 

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT?

I love to photograph in a location that has open fields and closed in trees to give you more options . I love barns, bridges, hills and a rustic look and I love city and urban settings. It will really depend on our consultation to determine what you like also!
